A Şişecam Group Company, Şişecam Glass Packaging has won the WordStar 2017 award in the WorldStar 2017 Competition held by the World Packaging Organization with its Kestane Natural Spring Water Bottle in the "Beverages" category.

Being the fifth largest producer of Europe and the world in glass packaging, Şişecam Glass Packaging has won an award in the WorldStar 2017 Competition held by the World Packaging Organization (WPO) with its Kestane Natural Spring Water Bottle in "Beverages" category.

Kestane Natural Spring Water Bottle designed by Şişecam Glass Packaging Design Chief Eda Yılmaz had also previously won the Competency and Silver Awards at the Crescent and Stars of Packaging Competition and the Excellent Design Award at the Design Turkey Competition.

In the competition which received 291 applications from 35 countries, the jury selected the winners in Wien on 17 November 2016.

Germany and Japan won 20 awards, while China and the US won 16 and 15 awards, respectively.

The UK and Spain received 12 awards in the competition, while Turkey and Austria won 11 awards. Turkey ranked the seventh among the countries in terms of the number of awards won.

The awards ceremony of the competition will be held on 4 May 2017 at Düsseldorf, Germany during the Interpack Fair.
