SGG appoints brand builder to support members of the Planitherm Network

Date: 24 July 2015

Saint-Gobain Glass has given the Planitherm Installer Network its own dedicated Brand Builder, Janet Foster, to support its 800-plus members in making the most of the growing array of resources and materials it offers.

Janet joins the group with a wealth of relevant experience across the construction sector and from other trade bodies, especially in the role of member support. She said of her new role: “The Installer Network is an important tool in raising the brand awareness with consumers via the installers and I am looking forward to helping all members grow their business and help create the demand.”

The Planitherm Installer Network, now in its fifth year, supports members with a broad range of sales, marketing and training tools, many via its dedicated marketing portal including downloadable adverts, personalised consumer literature and point-of-sale material. Members can access online training in subjects such as product knowledge and effective sales, and can gain certificates and accreditations to add credibility to the consumer.

Among the training modules is the use of the Glazing Options initiative and its own dedicated suite of literature, new additions to the training package include modules on the Planitherm range and Viewclear anti-condensation glass. Also now available, the Online Help Centre gives comprehensive details on getting the most out of membership and includes downloadable reference guides and videos.

Janet added: “As well as supporting them in making full use of what is available, it will also be part of my role to listen to the members, to learn about their needs and to encourage feedback on what we can do to refine the services we offer. I also hope I will be able to support fabricators in bringing more of their installers into the fold to strengthen both them and the Network as a whole.”

Susan Lambeth, Marketing Manager at Saint-Gobain Glass UK, said: “Our Planitherm Installer Network has gone from strength to strength and continues to raise the profile of its members via the tools it provides them. With Janet as Brand Builder, we can now maximise what we already have as well as working on developing and evolving it into the future to ensure we continue to create value for Saint-Gobain Glass and our loyal customers.”
