After much consultation and input from current customers, OcuGlass has found a need for a better performing glass in the glass marker board industry.
They have invested the better part of two years in the research and development stages, focusing on an innovative solution that would meet the high demand of their customers.
OcuWrite offers a very smooth surface which allows for easy writing with dry-erase and permanent markers. What makes OcuWrite unique, however, is its unprecedented ability to erase.
A dry-erase marker will erase cleanly with a dry cloth. Permanent marker will not erase with dry material, but wipes perfectly clean with the use of a simple household glass cleaner. The same is true with spray paint.
Another benefit is that the fine etch of OcuWrite almost completely eliminates glare, which allows for excellent projection capabilities. “The end-user can eliminate the need to switch from a marker board to a projection screen. With this product, their marker board provides both” said Brad Aldrich, C.O.O. of OcuGlass.
The acid-etch process is not a coating so the etch does not peel, scratch or discolor. OcuWrite has been tested and proven and is already advancing the standard for the glass marker board industry.
Aldrich said “At OcuGlass, we not only want to provide a product that performs, but we want to be a partner that works with you and for you.” The company is now working three shifts and has made a true commitment to their customers and to providing the best product in a timely manner.
Their flexibility is a great advantage. The OcuWrite product can be produced to meet any needs that a customer may have. Glass thicknesses range from 2mm to 19mm and various sizes up to 96” x 130” are available. The customer can back-paint, magnetize, temper, laminate or custom fabricate it to meet their needs.
OcuGlass has an environmentally-friendly process and facility, as well as a proprietary vertical process which ensures quality and consistency for all of their acid-etched products. They offer a customer-provided substrate option, which makes for cost-effective and efficient logistics.
All of their etching can be done on clear, low-iron, mirror or many other substrates. OcuGlass has the flexibility to allow for orders ranging in size from one case to truckload quantities.
