Lorient, leading designer and manufacturer of architectural seals for door assemblies has unveiled a new face-fixed drop seal suitable for glass doors.

Designed and manufactured in the UK, the LAS8002G drop seal features a high efficiency mechanism which lifts clear of the floor as soon as the door is opened by a few millimetres. When the door is closed the seal drops providing acoustic, smoke and thermal containment at the threshold.

LAS8002G’s durable flexible elastomeric fin elements are incorporated within the housing to provide enhanced acoustic and smoke containment properties.

It’s designed specifically for hinged doors into timber or aluminium frames; the drop seal is non-reversible and must be ordered in a left or right handed variant.

For a complete door sealing system – please refer to the Lorient architectural seal range, which incorporates perimeter sealsthreshold platesdoor bottom seals plus much more.
