Lisec at Glass Expo Istanbul 2013

Date: 10 April 2013

From the 13th to 16th of March 2013, 595 exhibitors from 22 countries presented their products to 46.713 Turkish visitors and to 5.823 international experts from 90 nations.

The 3-in-1 event for the glass and window sector – the ‘Glass Expo Istanbul’, the ‘Istanbul Window’ and the ‘Door Expo’ covered 80,000 m² thus all 10 pavilions of the Tüyap Exhibition Center and experienced an increase of 22% in international visitors.         This year Lisec, who is synonymous with fully automatic high-tech production plants as well as large-scale projects in the glass industry focused on machinery for glass processing – especially for glass seaming – which is a very demanded sector in Turkey. The complete seaming line consisted of a KSR arris grinding machine for rectangles and shapes, an additional KSV seaming station to increase the output capacity to a maximum and a VHW washing machine combined with a WRA water treatment system which is indispensable for an efficient and environmental friendly operation of a glass processing line.

The exhibited machinery concept hit the bullseye. It attracted a lot of interest from Turkish glass companies to buy the machinery directly from the stand – which one of them actually did. A considerably increased interest in this and other products of Lisec’s portfolio leads to promising sales expectations in this area in the near future although Lisec has to stand up to a great number of local suppliers of simple glass machinery in the low-price segment. But the advanced technology, the outstanding manufacturing quality and the exemplary customer service of the Lisec Group convinces.
