LiSEC has enhanced its BSV-series bending machine. Fully automatic processing of spacers, a higher level of automation and more materials that can be processed, are the result.

All processing steps performed by one machine LiSEC BSV-series bending machines do all of the processing steps fully automatically: First, the spacer is inserted, clamped, sequentially advanced, measured and cut to length.Remaining pieces are returned and stored for future orders to minimise material loss. Next, the spacer is warmed, bent and cooled. An extended lever supports the frame during the bending cycle.

The continuous bending process (no cuts) results in only one joint of the diffusion barrier in frames up to 2000x1000mm in size, leaving the structure and properties of the back foil and of the butyled spacer sides unaltered (ensuring better gas tightness). The machine can even bend radii and shapes according to the shape catalogue.

Makes your choices – fully automatically

No matter how mixed the orders are, the LiSEC BSV-series bending machine offers a high level of control intelligence and automation. Consequently, the multi-compartment magazine can be loaded with up to 15 different profiles of varying widths and colours, and the LiSEC control software will make sure that the machine always uses the right material. The bending tool automatically adjusts to the selected profile – so there are no tool changes, resulting in significant time savings. Optionally, spacers can be printed with production data.

LiSEC bending machines able to process SWISSPACER Ultimate

Fast warming, fast bending, fast cooling

In addition to processing all the common bending materials such as aluminium and stainless steel, the LiSEC BSV-series bending machine is now able to fully automatically process SWISSPACER Ultimate (Saint Gobain). The steps involved in bending this spacer type are similar to those of processing other materials, the most important difference being the warming and cooling cycles. The spacer is warmed while being advanced, and is then bent very quickly and cooled rapidly with cold compressed air. This takes no more than a few seconds for each corner to ensure that the back foil is perfectly processed in the corners.
