The largest glass bending furnace in the country has been installed in Cape Town. What’s more, it was locally designed and produced.

Architects are beginning to demand curved glass up to three metres long and until recently, this was not possible. Most curved glass prior to this has been made to a length of 2450mm, but as demand for curved glass has increased, so the need for 3000mm glass surfaced.



To meet this demand, GB Glass Benders in Cape Town purchased the locally manufactured furnace to cope with larger sizes.
