Leading Yorkshire fabricator Kingfisher Windows adds its new aluminium lift and slide door to help installers meet the growing demand for wide span glazed doors.

The trend for large areas of glass continues to grow as architects and designers create bigger open plan living spaces. Kingfisher Windows has added the latest Reynaers CP 130 aluminium lift and slide doors to give installers the best product for their customers’ needs.

“Kingfisher lift and slide doors are perfect for installers who have customers looking for an alternative to bifolds,” says Deborah Beeley, Sales and Marketing Manager at Kingfisher Windows. “The doors can offer up to nine metre spans of glass and heights up to 2700mm, which means they are suitable for almost all properties. Installers can choose from wall to wall, and ceiling to floor glass, as well as the option of cornerless glazing without any fixed corner element. There’s even a low threshold option too.”

Kingfisher Windows chose the Reynaers highly insulated CP 130 lift and slide doors because of the extensive testing for comfort, security and warmth. It offers U-Values of 2.35 W/m2K, watertightness of 750 Pa, windload resistance of 1600 Pa and airtightness of 600Pa, and complies with Burglar Resistance class 2.

“Because we’re based in Yorkshire, we’re used to dealing with the turbulent weather from the North Sea to the Yorkshire Moors, so we know how important it is to have a product that is designed to withstand the worst of weather,” adds Deborah.

“Architects want to make the most of views and the available light by specifying large amounts of glass,” Deborah adds. “The new CP 130 lift and slide door means installers can add to their range a product that ticks the boxes for architects and homeowners alike and meets the trend for desirable large areas of glass.”
