Date: 11 December 2008
All of this is reflected in the fact that Gulf Glass 2009 has already surpassed its bookings level for the 2007 and 2008 shows, and with a huge range of companies finalising their bookings at present, next year’s show looks set to be the biggest event for the glass industry in the region, and further beyond. We are delighted with the level of interest” said Kevin Hudson, Event Director, “bookings have poured in since Glasstec from the container, processed and float sectors with our international spread being greater than ever before. With the likes of GIMAV and Glaston taking such significant shares of the space in the last month, and a wealth of other companies rapidly eating up our available space, we are all set to sell-out”.
With still over 3 months left, space is indeed at a premium as over 70% of the area has already been assigned Hudson, “that the Gulf remains a key market, even in the difficult circumstances the globe is experiencing at present. Glass may be struggling in Europe and the Far East, but here in the Middle East, the opportunities just keep coming. What is more important, is that the industry is agreeing with us. The Gulf deserves its own dedicated, focused show that covers all sectors and delivers high quality visitors, rather than to be shunted as a side event in a more expansive, general exhibition. Glass is growing in the region and Gulf Glass is right behind it to support it” he adds.
