We all know some people who are a bit odd. They have to be handled a bit differently sometimes.
Well, the same applies to glass lifting. More than ever before, glass vacuum lifters have to be capable of handling oddly-shaped loads.
That is why we’re dedicating Product of the Month for December to the Hydraulica 1200.2 glass vacuum lifter.
We will also be mentioning one or two other Hydraulica machines which we’re pretty excited about having in our vacuum lifter hire fleet for 2017.
New power for lifting irregular loads
Now, more than ever before, glass units do not come in regular shapes and sizes. Architects and construction techniques are stretching what is possible.
Modular building design means increasingly our glass lifting clients are expected to lift pre-constructed panels of varying shapes and sizes, made up of different materials.
The new Hydraulica 1200.2 glass vacuum lifter is designed to meet these challenges, and make glass lifting easier, safer, and more productive.
It is based on the still-popular Hydraulica 1200 vacuum lifter, but has key new features that add to its glass lifting power.
The machine still has a maximum lifting capacity of 1,200kg. But now it has remote-controlled powered tilt and rotation of the glass load.
When this is combined with the ability to individually shut off individual suction pads to lift irregularly-shaped loads, the Hydraulica 1200.2 vacuum lifter really comes into its own.
Glass lifting with even greater confidence
When lifting structural glass elements to a building, glass installers want all the help they can get. It is a complex task. A lot needs to be considered during the lifting process.
The Hydraulica 1200.2 glass vacuum lifter is designed to provide total support for the lifting process, so the glass installation team can concentrate fully on handling and placing the load with 100% precision and safety.
The adaptability of the suction pad configuration allows lifting teams to plan the glass lifting project with full confidence.
The new remote-controlled rotation and tilt function allows the vacuum lifter operator the best view of the installation site while completing key handling tasks.
Reduced manual handling improves productivity and speed of installation. Fewer operatives are needed on the installation team, and protection from injury is enhanced.
The vacuum system has two vacuum pumps, a powerful dual independent vacuum circuits, and low vacuum alert to maximise safety. If one circuit were to fail, the other would continue to hold the load in place.
Part of a powerful family of vacuum lifters
The 1200.2 glass vacuum lifter is just one Hydraulica machine in our glass vacuum lifter hire fleet. Our customers value their excellent features, capability and robust design.
Being familiar with different models across a trusted range of glass vacuum lifters is a major bonus for our glass lifting clients – improving their productivity and safety.
To that end, we also supply the new Hydraulica 1000.2 vacuum lifter, with a maximum load capacity of 1,000kg; the Hydraulica 1200 Curved, specifically designed for lifting curved and irregular glass panels; and the Hydraulica 1500, also new for 2017, with its maximum lifting capacity of 1,500kg.
Each machine shares industry-leading features and proven operating systems, but delivers specific capabilities for different weights and types of loads, whether glass or other non-porous sheet materials, including plastic, metal and plasterboard.
The Hydraulica 1200.2 glass vacuum lifter is available across the UK, from or three operating centres. We also offer glass vacuum lifter training, and can provide fully-trained and highly-experienced operators.
