Glaston celebrated the delivery of its 100th new generation tempering line with the innovative iControL™ automation system to Klaasimeister AS in Harjumaa, Estonia.

Glaston’s new generation of glass tempering lines was initially launched at Glasstec in Germany in October 2010.

In just three years since launching, the RC and FC Series of tempering lines with iControL™ have become a big hit with customers throughout the world. The furnaces have already been delivered to all continents.

“What we’ve been hearing time and again from our customers is that they are simply amazed with the phenomenal glass processing quality, ease of use and high capacity, all of which help them operate more profitably,” says Juha Liettyä, SVP Glaston Heat treatment.´

Since its launch, iControL™ has been an integral part of deliveries for a range of Glaston new generation tempering furnaces, including the FC500, RC200 and RC350. Now also earlier models of Tamglass and Uniglass flat tempering furnaces can be upgraded with iControL™.

“Several customers have even more than one of these new types of tempering lines with iControL™. After purchasing a first line, they have been so impressed with the performance that they’ve bought an additional line or more,” Juha continues. “This proves that our continuous investments in R&D are providing what is needed for our customers to compete and succeed in their chosen glass tempering businesses.”
