Nestled deep within the Austrian Alps, the luxurious Sonja Alpine Resort is a popular hotel for ski enthusiasts across Europe. It is a newly constructed development and it was decided that AMG Frameless Glass Balustrades was the choice of railing, offering visitors to the resort uninterrupted views of the stunning Alps.
Exclusively distributed in the UK by Balustrade Components UK, the AMG Frameless Glass Balustrading was chosen by Architects and Developers due to its contemporary aesthetics.
It maximises light and transparency, and also its high-level functionality where it complies with leading UK and European Building Regulations.
Specifying Frameless Glass Railings
Over 400m of the AMG Glass Railings were specified for the hospitality development, where it features externally around the perimeter of the building on several levels.
The glass used in the installation was 17.5mm thick toughened laminated glass, held into position by AMG’s top-mounted base shoe, in an aluminium anodised option. Sitting proudly on the top of the glass is a brushed stainless steel handrail, providing contemporary aesthetics and seamlessly blending glass and metal finishes with striking effect.
Paul Startin, Managing Director of Balustrade Components UK,

The frameless glass balustrade really maximises light and transparency for guests within the resort, adding to their comfort and enjoyment levels.
Architects and Developers appreciate the aesthetic qualities of the glass railing system, as well as being easy to install. This greatly increases the ease of which the AMG systems can be specified into various new build and renovation projects.”
