Over 20 ESMA member companies and technology partners will be among the exhibitors and presenters at the two technical conferences which close the year.

Altogether, between 27th and 30th of November 2017,  several dozen presentations at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia in Düsseldorf will explain the latest decoration solutions for plastic containers and flat and hollow glass.

Building on the successful launch two years ago, Direct Container Print (DCP) conference brings together key industry players who discuss the latest achievements in direct-to-object decoration from the perspective of machine manufacturers, ink suppliers, colour management experts and curing systems providers.

Delegates – printers, designers, packaging manufacturers and brand owners – are offered a comprehensive look into technologies suitable for different applications: food and beverages, personal care, cosmetics or pharmaceuticals. 18 speakers at the DCP discuss food safe inks, adaptable or standalone printing systems, handling variable data and mass customisation techniques.

Presentations will be held by i.a. ColorGATE, Gallus, Global Inkjet Systems, Marabu, Sun Chemical and Tichawa Vision.

Some may perceive glass and plastics as rivals but everyone who comes to DCP and GlassPrint will discover the cross-fertilisation between them and the increasing power of direct decoration with screen or digital printing technologies. Therefore, many of ESMA members will also present at GlassPrint, among them Epta, Ferro, Grünig/SignTronic, KBA-Kammann, Saati or Till.

As the only European event dedicated to glass decoration, GlassPrint enters already its seventh edition. Over the years, the event has demonstrated a strong growth in attendance; starting with 60 attendees in 2005 up to over 200 glassmakers, decorators, end-users, suppliers and brand owners – two years ago. For the upcoming edition, senior personnel from Arc, Ardagh, Heinz-Glas, O-I, Saint-Gobain, Schott, Vetropack and many other key market players have confirmed their participation.

Chameleon Business Media, publishers of “Glass Worldwide” and “Specialist Printing Worldwide” magazines, have been co-organisers of GlassPrint and supporting partners of DCP.

This long-lasting cooperation made both conferences into established platforms of technical know-how exchange and attracted the support of industry figureheads. Many of them will provide key note speeches this year: BV Glas, FEVE, Glass for Europe (at GlassPrint), AWA, Netherlands Packaging Centre and The Packaging Society (at DCP).

Delegate registration for both conferences is still possible online at www.dcp2017.org and www.glassprint.org. ESMA members enjoy a 100-euro discount.
