A Cornish business is set to treble its projected sales of aluminium since taking the leap to REAL Aluminium.

Leading installer and trade supplier Horizon Home Improvements spotted the potential to add aluminium to its portfolio and began working with REAL Aluminium at the beginning of 2018. The firm has already seen extraordinary growth since introducing REAL Aluminium and expects to sell three times more aluminium than it originally predicted by the end of this year.

Luke Jones, marketing manager at Horizon Home Improvements, explains: “REAL Aluminium has been phenomenal for our business and we couldn’t be happier with how our first year is shaping up. Aluminium has seen huge growth in the domestic market and installers are definitely seeing the advantages of the increased profit margins it brings. We predominantly supplied PVCu products before but knew that we had a huge opportunity to expand by introducing aluminium to our range.

“We were already sourcing PVCu from Customade Group, which owns the REAL Aluminium brand, and were confident that the loyal and experienced team there would work hard to help us achieve our ambitious growth targets. We visited the REAL Aluminium factory and were really impressed with the products and support on offer and immediately knew it was for us. It was an easy decision to move to REAL Aluminium and the incredible sales figures we’ve achieved in such a short space of time certainly prove that it has paid off!”

Horizon sources a wealth of fenestration products from the REAL Aluminium range, which includes windows, bi-folding doors, sliding doors, French doors, residential doors, flat rooflights and lantern roofs. The firm installs REAL Aluminium across Cornwall and West Devon and is successfully growing sales of the range at its two trade counters in Bodmin and Launceston.

Horizon has also taken advantage of REAL Aluminium’s industry-leading showroom and marketing support package and has found that the REAL brochures, hardware boards and pull up banners have helped the business to convert more sales. On the back of its success so far, the firm is now upgrading its showroom in Launceston to include REAL Aluminium bi-fold doors and windows.

“The marketing expertise and ongoing support from REAL Aluminium was a big draw for us and we were up and running with REAL in a very short period of time,” adds Luke. “The REAL products are really well engineered and available on attractive lead times, which has helped us to increase sales at an impressive pace. And customers love the look of REAL Aluminium – it’s easy to convince them to buy into aluminium when the quality is so evident.”

REAL Aluminium has made sourcing and selling aluminium easy for installers. It provides a comprehensive showroom and sales and marketing support package to help them confidently step into aluminium and begin selling the most extensive range aluminium windows, doors and roofs available from a single supplier.
