The Chinese glass industry has performed ahead of expectation in fields of output and profit in 2017. In the second half of 2017, flat glass manufacturers have witnessed a rising product price and a roaring business profit.
The total output of flat glass industry in the first 11 months of the year 2017 is 730.65 million weight cases with a 3.9-percent rise compared with the same period last year.
According to data released from the National Statistics Bureau (NSB), the gross output of the flat glass industry is expected to achieve 800 million weight cases for 2017, up 3.36 percent compared to 2016 when a profit reached around RMB 10 billion.
The Chinese glass industry has entered a new stage of the supply-side structural reform, cutting overcapacity, shoring up weak spots, adjusting structure, ensuring growth and increasing benefits in 2017.
