Azerbaijan to develop and produce high technologies

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is likely to develop and produce high technologies.At today’s meeting Deputy Industry & Energy Minister Natig Abbasov has informed that the Sumgait high-tech park being formed in the country will not only produce hi-tech output in the future, but will also develop high technologies.

The idea on creation of high technology park creation presented to President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan at the opening of Azgüntex plant (Azerbaijani lighting) in Sumgait this May is under development.

Preparation of necessary documentation and document package required to make a decision on creation of Sumgait high technology park is under way.

It is planned to locate 15 plants in the park oriented for production for alternative energy and energy saving. Nomenclature of future production includes optic lenses, glass and basalt fiber, accumulators.
