The Glasstech Asia exhibition is calling for participants in the first expo of its kind in Viet Nam, to take place November 20-22, 2008.

The three-day event will cover glass processing and manufacturing, including coating, melting and bending technologies, decorating tools, polishing and packaging equipment and raw materials.

Around 200 exhibitors are expected to come from 20 countries and territories.

"We’re excited to have the opportunity to organise one of our most coveted exhibitions in one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. The increasing demand for glass-related products in this country and its vital role in the region’s economic development makes it a very favourable venue," said Edward Liu, managing director of the Singaporean firm Conference&Exhibition Management Services.

CEMS is joining hands with Singapore Glass Association, Vinexad and Vietnam Architectural Glass Association to organise the event.

SGA Chairman Gan Chee Siong noted that his association members were keen to work with Vietnamese partners.  The venue will be at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in the Phu My Hung area in District 7 in HCM City.
