Arnold Glas starts cooperation with Tianjin NorthGlass

It is the most significant cooperation in the glass industry this year: The company group Arnold Glas in Remshalden, southern Germany, started a cooperation with Chinese glass processor NorthGlass from Tianjin.

For the first time in the industry the consulting, development, planning and production of coatings with equivalent performances and matching color are brought together – available in sizes up to 18,00 x 3,60 metres.

Arnold Glas and NorthGlass now cooperate in the field of glass processing and coating development. “With joint steps we place ourselves as the market leader amongst the top glass producers in the world,” stated the two shareholders, Mr. Hans-Joachim Arnold, Chairman of the Board of Arnold Glas, and Mr. Paul Gao, CEO Tianjin North Glass.

The result is a unique, unprecedented flexibility for the realisation of demanding glass projects in oversize format. The product portfolio contains large-format glass panes shaped according to customer requirements: Depending on individual demands they are flat, cylindrically curved or curved in a 3-dimensional shape.

Packed on transport stillages, the glass is transported quickly and safely from any location of the company group Arnold Glas in Germany and Austria as well as from China – either directly to the customer or to the project location anywhere in the world.

Arnold Glas is well known for its high innovative power in the field of coatings for any type of  glass application. Tianjin NorthGlass has been well recognized for its large format glass units installed in many flagship stores around the world.

From now on, all glass will be coordinated in their technical performance and provide the client with a matching visual appearance. Architects, planners or investors will experience unprecedented possibilities of building design due to the cooperation of the two companies.

Large glazing elements spanning over several floors with an absolute minimum of joints and visual interruption can be designed, produced and installed. In addition the companies are offering project specific coatings for the more demanding projects.

In addition to glass production, the cooperation includes a joint development of new coatings for all conceivable application areas.  

As an additional service the company group Arnold Glas offers the design, planning, production and installation of special glass structures. Said structures are produced with the latest innovations to meet the rising demands of modern architecture and sustainable building constructions.
