This is the second consecutive year Applied has received the award for its superior ratings in the areas of quality, delivery, documentation, innovation, responsiveness and commercial value.Ongoing continuous improvements and participation in the Supplier Added Value Effort ($AVE) program, which tracks suppliers' efforts to provide hard cost and soft cost savings, play an increasingly important role in earning the award.One of 11 suppliers honored by PPG, Applied provides industrial, fluid power, and engineered products and systems to PPG's chlor-alkali and derivatives, automotive original-equipment glass, performance glazings, aerospace, fiber glass and other businesses in the United States.Applied President & COO Bill L.Purser said, "Applied is very pleased to be recognized, once again, as an Excellent Supplier by PPG.
