Wausau hires James Desautels as New England region sales representative

As part of the company’s national network of local representatives, he is based in Boston, and reports directly to Wausau’s regional sales manager, Ryan Noble.

James Desautels has joined Wausau Window and Wall Systems as an architectural sales representative serving the New England region.

As part of the company’s national network of local representatives, he is based in Boston, and reports directly to Wausau’s regional sales manager, Ryan Noble.

 

Working with commercial building owners, architects and design professionals, contractors and construction teams across the region, Desautels provide educational and technical resources from Wausau including product selection for high-performance window and curtainwall systems.

 

Desautels began his career with the U.S. Navy as a supply and logistics officer.

During his six years of active duty service, he held such positions as material control officer with Air Training and Evaluation Squadron ONE (VX-1) at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, as assistant supply officer at USS Cape St. George (CG-71), and as supply department head with COMPSRON THREE Military Sealift Command.

 

He has been honored with medals for Korean Defense, Navy Achievement, and Navy and Marine Corps Commendation, and was awarded an Honorable Discharge upon conclusion of his active duty service.

He attended the U.S. Naval Academy where he earned a Bachelor of Science in international relations. He also holds several certifications, including as a hazardous materials program manager.

 

Most recently, Desautels worked as a sales territory manager with The Garland Company, Inc. commercial roofing and flooring industry.

Prior to this, he was a market development manager with Schindler Elevator Corp. He also previously worked with GE Energy as a lead buyer.

 

Supporting the commercial construction industry and deepening his professional development, Desautels will represent Wausau at industry association events for the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
