Date: 16 February 2016
The encounter will take place within the framework of ePower&Buiding and will also feature the 1st Iberian Congress on Solar Control and Protection where the latest proposals, technical solutions and trends will be unveiled, both from the perspective of the architect and from that of the installer. VETECO SOLAR has already received a warm welcome and many companies in the industry have already signed up for the event.Priority space will be allocated on April 12 and 13.
The Solar Protection and Control Industry will have a space of its own and will enjoy special prominence in the next edition of VETECO. Together with the Window and Facade industries, it will be one of the three major sectors around which VETECO 2016 will revolve. The event will in fact be known as the International Window, Facade and Solar Protection Exhibition. Organised by IFEMA, the event will take place in the “FERIA DE MADRID” from 25 to 28 October 2016 - ideal dates for the professional sector as it makes its preparations for next season.
Even though there are still eight months to go before the event opens its doors, SOLAR VETECO has already received a warm welcome and many companies in the industry have already signed up for the event. Aimed at professional visitors (assemblers and installers of awnings) and consumer motivators (architects, interior designers and decorators), the exhibition will bring together a wide range of proposals in blinds, awnings, technical fabrics, hardware, pergolas, automatisms and home automation. The allocation of priority space will take place on April 12 and 13. The deadline for requesting space and for participating in the allocation is March 31.
In this way, VETECO SOLAR, Europe’s new even-year biennial proposal for professionals, will have its own specific space within the VETECO pavilions and is set to become the meeting space for companies selling blinds, awnings, fabrics and automatisms who will be able to present all their solutions, both to consumer motivators and to transformers and installers, as they prepare for the 2017 campaign. “Due to the nature of its climate, Spain is a country that has a strong tradition and an important network of companies in this industry, companies that are already key players in the world on account of the quality of their work and their professionalism. Veteco Solar is here to meet a commercial need between supply and demand, both at the domestic and at the international level" says Raul Calleja, Director of all the Construction Exhibitions.
Companies will be able to participate in different ways and they will have tools at their disposal that will help them to make the most of their participation and to meet their objectives and their own specific needs. Among the tools and elements that are worth mentioning are programmes featuring national and international guests, speakers’ corners for training, B2B meetings, routes for consumer motivators and tailor made communication plans... "We want the industry and the companies to view Veteco Solar as an instrument that will help them to grow and to energize their business activity" stresses Calleja.
From the professional visitors’ perspective, the nearby Mediterranean basin countries such as Portugal, France, Italy and the Maghreb countries, together with Spain, is one of the most important geographical regions as far as the demand for solar protection solutions is concerned and, as far as the industry in the Iberian Peninsula is concerned, it is also its most important export market. This fact alone makes a differentiated exhibition clearly necessary.
On the other hand, and in parallel with the trade fair and encounter, the 1st Iberian Congress on Solar Control and Protection has been scheduled for 27 and 28 October. During that event, the issues to be discussed, the round tables, the presentation of successful case studies, etc. will be differentiated and adapted to both consumer motivators, mainly architecture firms, and to the collective of transformers and installers.
Important synergies
With a new strategic approach and under the heading of "ePower&Building", SOLAR VETECO will benefit from important synergies with the other areas and exhibitions that go to make up VETECO and with exhibitions that are aimed more at architects (CONSTRUTEC, URBOTICA, BIMEXPO, LIGHTEC, MATELEC…), as well as from "Architecture with EÑE", in which such areas as hospitality, solutions and products for architects, etc. will be to the fore. In this way, VETECO AND CONSTRUTEC - the International Exhibition of Construction Materials, Techniques and Solutions, will be joined by MATELEC, the International Exhibition of Solutions for the Electrical and Electronics Industry, Southern Europe’s largest trade fair in the field of lighting and street lighting, smart cities and buildings, electrical installations, telecommunications and automation.
Another novelty intended to help link solar protection with architecture firms, is that SOLAR VETECO is going to add a new category to the traditional VETECO ASEFAVE Architecture Awards for the Best Windows and Light Facades, that distinguish the best projects and interventions in the field of solar protection and control. The Competition, organised in conjunction with the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Light Facades and Windows, ASEFAVE, will celebrate its twelfth edition next year.
In this way, ePower&Building is set to become Europe’s benchmark event for the energy and construction industries. According to figures for 2014, the four exhibitions filled 8 pavilions in the IFEMA Trade Fair and attracted more than 1,200 companies and 60,000 professionals from 80 countries. This new structure will be a determining factor when it comes to convening the main national and international consumer motivation groups such as architects, engineers, designers, builders, decorators and interior designers, the tertiary sector, the hospitality industry, property management companies, among others.
