Fair director Raúl Calleja announced figures such as the number of companies that have signed up to take part in the exhibition, which total more than 260 and the global, all-inclusive offer.

Each exhibition area at the trade fair will have related sector events VETECO is the Window, Light  Facade.

It will take place from 25-28 October at FERIA DE MADRID. This year’s edition will occupy twice as much exhibition space as its predecessor, with 260 companies as against 158, and almost twice the exhibition area. These figures were announced by event director Raúl Calleja at a meeting of the VETECO Organisers’ Committee, a trade fair which, with CONSTRUTEC, PIEDRA, BIMEXPO, MATELEC and URBÓTICA, will run simultaneously under the ePoWER&BUILDING umbrella.



Mr Calleja drew attention to the important increase in the number of companies coming from abroad, which are up 43% compared to the last edition, with enormous participation by Italian, Portuguese and German companies.



He also pointed out that the different sectors making up VETECO will have their own trade meetings. Structures, installations and building systems will be dealt with at technical seminars on new building systems and the arquitectural challenges of the future; projects and modular building and opportunities in the industrial and tertiary sectors, with a Refurbishment and Rehabilitation Congress organised by the Spanish Confederation of Building Product Manufacturer Associations (CEPCO).



In the area of building envelopes, outdoor coverings and roofs, there will be technical seminars on science and technology used in façades, new design materials and innovation in architectural envelopes; the 1st Iberian Congress on Solar Protection; a Congress on Light Architectural Façades; a meeting on refurbishment from the standpoint of windows and an exhibition in Viainnova.



When it comes to materials, equipment and interior design, there will be an R&D+i forum, a symposium of technology centres on building materials and processes, nanotechnology and new features and functions of building materials, sustainability in building materials, and exhibition in Viainnova.



In terms of machinery, tools and bulding equiments, the items on the agenda will include automation and robotics in construction, innovation in machinery and building materials, and efficiency in building processes through innovative use of machinery and equipment.



In the sustainability area, there will be discussions on tools for environmental and sustainability certification; a seminar for developers and builders, a technical seminar for architects, an exhibition of new building materials and innovative solutions in the sustainability area, architecture prizes and the LaPlaza building competition.





New proposals



The details of BimEXPO were also announced during the meeting of the Organisers’ Committee of VETECO. Europe’s new professional trade show for the industrialisation of BIM, organised by IFEMA, will have exhibition and demonstration areas; the refurbishment circuit and different trade fair tools such as the international hosted buyer programme, camouflage a product, Viainnova, innovations, training courses, invitations to the market and an extensive communication campaign for the Event.



He also mentioned ArquitecturaConEñe, a specific programme for architects which is part of ePower&Building and has a roadshow that has been operating since last October, a guide to architectural solutions, seminars, congresses, prizes and competitions and workshops. There will be 1,200 participating companies at ePower&Building and 65,000 trade professionals from 80 countries.
