Update: Information about SCHOTT in Duryea

Date: 5 March 2015

On Tuesday afternoon, March 3rd, 2015 a fire broke out at our SCHOTT Duryea Facility. All Employees were evacuated from the building safely and no injuries were reported.

Many local fire departments and first responders acted quickly.  We thank them and greatly appreciate their strong support throughout this event. We also are very grateful to the support shown to us by the community. Environmental officials have been engaged, testing is underway with no reports of any environmental impact. Together with local officials, we are currently assessing the damage and we will be working diligently to resume full operations. We will provide updates as information becomes available.
