The third trade counter business within the ProTrade network, Paul Wilkins, Director ProTrade, said that the opening of the new 4,000 sq ft facility, off Whitting Valley Road would increase ProTrade’s geographical reach throughout Derbyshire and beyond.
He said: “There are a lot of fitters and installers working out of Chesterfield so it made sense to go there and be closer to them. It’s also a reflection of the demand that we’re seeing and our growing reputation. Our focus is Derbyshire but we supply far further afield - ultimately wherever our customers want us to go.”
ProTrade Upvc was set up in 2010 in Swadlincote. The company opened its second site in Loughborough four years later. In addition to the investment it’s made in its new Chesterfield site, it will relocate its Swadlincote trade counter to a new 4,500 sq ft facility, this autumn.
Buying in windows and doors from Emplas, since last year Paul said that ProTrade had the right infrastructure in place to support continuing growth.
He said: “Our supply partnership with Emplas is important in that the quality is always there in the product that they supply. Trade customers aren’t just about price, they’re looking for product quality and above all value.
“We’re able to offer it to them in the products that we supply and the support that we offer them. We’ve developed a reputation for going the extra mile and that’s been key to our growth.”
In addition to the supply of a wide range of products, ProTrade underpins its offer with site survey and technical support, plus free waste drop off and recycling service.
“For us it’s about value, how can we deliver the best service to our customers and that means buying in from the right supply partner”, concluded Paul.
