Top jeweler takes a shine to Optiview

Date: 6 October 2014

The fabulous gems in Harry Winston's 5th Avenue boutique have gained an added luster to the admiring eyes of passers-by.

The store front has been entirely reglazed using high-clarity, low-iron Pilkington Optiwhite™ with a non-reflective Pilkington Optiview™ coating - ensuring the clearest view possible of the glittering treasure within. And just in case any of those passers-by are tempted to take the direct route to the merchandise without troubling the cashier, the glazing units have been specially fabricated, by Global Security Glazing, with an impact-resistant polycarbonate interlayer. The same glazing has also been installed in Harry Winston's Hawaii store, in Honolulu; a total of 1400 square feet of glass has been required for both projects."This is a very high-profile project for one of 5th Avenue's most famous names," said Regional Sales Manager Clay Lanier.Harry Winston is the jeweler to the stars and Pilkington Optiview™ provides the perfect showcase for his collection."
