Talks on new dimensions | Chinese delegation visits Roto

This is how the global window and door technology system manufacturer’s board of directors’ chairman characterises the personal significance of the group who travelled from China and the occasion of the visit that lasted just under one day.

The delegation was led by Guo Jianying, the major of Baoding, a large city with 12 million inhabitants. “I have come here to make friends”, he stressed at the beginning of the meeting whose factual background was based on dimensions that are probably only imaginable in China.

Baoding forms the centre of a new Hebei Province conurbation approved by the Peking Government. A mega-city is to be built here in the next few years ultimately to accommodate 130 million residents.

The gigantic project requires the creation of the appropriate residential capacity for 20 million people, amongst other things. One of Roto's largest customers in China is among the companies hoping to be involved in the huge building project.

Dr. Keill therefore “already wishes them every success because we will then also be among the beneficiaries”. It was therefore “very important” during their production plant visit to convince the delegation led by Guo Jianying of the advanced hardware technology’s quality.

Furthermore, Roto also rated the visit as confirmation of their own course that is “based on the fact that in a functioning world economy there is no sensible alternative to the free trade of goods and services”.
