Conference will shift to shortened online event in July with in-person gathering at GlassBuild America.

NGA will modify its NGA Glass Conference: Chicago event, cancelling the in-person component that was to occur in July 2021 due to continued precautions and limitations surrounding travel and group gatherings associated with the pandemic.

The NGA Glass Conference will maintain a partial day’s programming on Tuesday, July 20 from 3:00-5:00 pm ET via Zoom. This portion of the Conference will be dedicated to task group updates and a deep dive into the latest challenges and opportunities. Time will also be allotted for a special virtual reception.

“NGA leadership made the tough call to cancel the in-person NGA Glass Conference for what we expect will be the last time,” said Nicole Harris, NGA president & CEO. “We count on the ‘live’ and lively exchange among our members to identify and extrapolate the best solutions for our industry, and we’re planning now for a short, in-person gathering at GlassBuild America in Atlanta in September and a full-on NGA Glass Conference on the West Coast in Q1 2022.”

Appreciating the importance of brainstorming and networking to this event and its participants, an in-person component of the NGA Glass Conference will be held in conjunction with GlassBuild America in Atlanta—Monday, September 13 through Wednesday, September 15. Discussions will feature select topics identified during the July online event deep dive. Panelists will guide conversations that will focus on engaging our stakeholders outside the glazing industry to promote, educate and advocate for glazing and glass building products in design, as well as identify areas to elevate and expand its research and advocacy for the betterment of the industry. Registrants will also be able to attend a special economic outlook presentation as well as a networking reception.

Registration for the online meeting in July is open now.
