Success at Moscow Show

Date: 19 September 2007

The Group's Russian operation attracted around 700 visitors and won two awards with its biggest ever stand at the recent World of Glass 2007 exhibition in Moscow.

With different areas dedicated to solar control and fire resistant products, Pilkington Activ™ and Pilkington Profilit™, the stand won a diploma for the architectural merits of the products on display, and another for the overall stand design. The Commercial team manned the stand throughout the four days and also organised a hospitality bar - with a professional DJ - on the upper floor. The stand included a Pilkington Activ demo unit and visitors were able to pick up copies of Focus Magazine, containing an article on Pilkington Suncool™, as well as information brochures for the other products on display. During the exhibition, there was also a short seminar with presentations on Pilkington/NSG, RM1 results, imminent developments and multifunctional products such as Pilkington Arctic Blue™, Pilkington Eclipse Advantage™ and Pilkington Suncool. Overall, around 90 existing customers dropped in to renew their acquaintance with the Pilkington team, and almost as many potential customers came to introduce themselves. The majority of visitors were from the Central Region, Volga and the Urals. Held at the Moscow Exhibition Centre, the fair featured 370 exhibitors from 25 countries.
