STRATO® EVA: laminated curved glass for superior strength and aesthetics

A permanent exhibition in Rijeka, Croatia, consisting of 10 units, including a historical overview of pharmacies and the reconstruction of a real pharmacy office from the early 20th century is one of the most recent projects where STRATO® products have taken center stage through an international partnership.

The modernity of the museum and the experience offered to visitors is already perceived at the level of the environment and the materials used for the installations. Among these, laminated glass plays a fundamental role. Widely used in all the spaces of the Croatian museum, laminated glass is the protagonist of multiple units, such as the timeline dedicated to the development of pharmacy at a local level, where it helps to make the educational path clear and immersive, as well as enhancing the aesthetics of the museum spaces.

The aesthetic and performance requirements of the client found a concrete and optimal response in the combination of two EVA films from the STRATO® series, the range of made-in-Italy interlayers available in different colours and finishes, in order to create specific curved laminated glasses:

• STRATO® LATTE, an EVA film ideal for interior lighting thanks to its ability to allow light to filter through the glass without reflections. The light is thus diffused uniformly and, thanks to the satin texture, typical of the STRATO® FROST line, creates harmonious frost effects even on curved surfaces
• STRATO® EXTRA CLEAR, a high-transparency interlayer that can be applied internally and externally, which guarantees optimal light transmission and is able to filter more than 99% of UV rays, while guaranteeing maximum protection

The result is a curved laminated glass characterized by high aesthetic elegance and a superior level of resistance, as well as the lighting, transparency, and UV protection characteristics of the interlayers of which it is composed.
