SmartGlass International registers 17 per cent year-on-year sales growth in MENA region

SmartGlass International has achieved 17% year-on-year sales growth in the MENA region, which has been credited as one of the key factors for the 13% global growth in 2012.

Notable projects in the MENA region that contributed to the strong sales results of SmartGlass International include the Al Shaya Trading Headquarters in Kuwait, the National Guard Headquarters in Saudi Arabia, and continued work on the Kempinski Grand & Ixir Hotel in Bahrain.  Kempinski Grand & IxirHigh-profile projects in the region have also helped generate greater awareness about the benefits of electronically switchable privacy glass.SmartGlass is widely used within the hospitality, commercial and healthcare sectors as it illuminates environments, creating multi-functional spaces that adapt and respond to the needs of users at the flick of a switch.

In addition to the MENA region, strong growth in Europe has also played a key role in SmartGlass International’s healthy sales performance in 2012. The major global projects that were completed in 2012 include Microsoft’s Headquarters in Lisbon, Portugal; Viking River Cruises in Germany; the CERN Globe of Knowledge & Innovation in Switzerland; and The Harley Street Medical Centre in London.
