19 pupils in the TELC course at Beverungen Secondary School visited the machine manufacturer HEGLA on 3 March.

As part of the two-hour tour, the young people got to know the production processes and various departments from close quarters. They also found out about the various apprenticeship possibilities during presentations by the apprentices. At the end, the pupils had the opportunity to ask questions. During the tour, they gained insights into the professions of technical product designer, industrial mechanic, mechatronics technician, IT specialist, electronics technician for automation technology, warehouse logistics specialist and industrial clerk (all m/f/x). At the same time, the young people learnt more about the processes and relationships of the international company.

Inspiring pupils for high-tech training and quality made in Germany

The invitation to visit HEGLA came about as part of the TELC course, which the company has financially supported for many years. The elective course offers the pupils the chance to advance their English skills and prove it by gaining a certificate. Carsten Koch, the head of Marketing at HEGLA, expressed his thanks to the pupils for their visit and thanked the teachers Andrea Teasdale and Hubertus Nahen for the organisation and cooperation. “We would be pleased to see one or more members of this group again as part of a job experience scheme or as an apprentice,” said Carsten Koch. “As a company with deep roots in the region, we are happy when we can inspire local people for high-tech and German quality.”
