Room-height, floor-to-ceiling window units allow architects and developers to create light, airy rooms and thereby meet high standards of design.
Standards and regulations require these window units to be secured. Schüco introduces its new safety barriers, which are tested as complete units with Schüco PVC-U windows.
They are installed directly onto the window profile and therefore fit in visually with the façade appearance as an aesthetic ensemble. The two versions – the glass or a bar safety barrier – are available now.
Design and architectural freedom
The transparent, and therefore unobtrusive, glass safety barrier allows an unobstructed view to the outside, and at the same time there is no interruption to a harmonious external appearance. The bar safety barrier is the right choice for individual façade design.
The flexible choice of distances between bars, as well as the possibility of using and combining round tubes and bars with different diameters, opens up many design possibilities. And combining glass and bar safety barriers also makes an individual façade design statement.
Tailor-made for Schüco PVC-U window systems
The Schüco safety barrier is suitable for newbuilds and renovations, especially in public buildings such as schools or crèches. All statutory security specifications are met, with test certificates and general building approval test certificates, including in accordance with DIN 18008-4 and the ETB guideline.
The glass and bar safety barriers are compatible with the tried-and-tested Schüco LivIng, Schüco Alu Inside, Schüco Corona SI 82 and Schüco Corona CT 70 PVC-U window systems. Depending on the system, the Schüco rebate strip, profile and adhesive anchor offer different concealed fixing options.
