Date: 12 October 2016
As we reported on June 6, 2016, in the article “Guardian or Sisecam? Who will be the new owner of Sangalli?”, Sisecam offered 90 million euros to acquire the float glass plant of San Giorgio di Nogaro (Italy).
Now it is official: The Court of Udine (Italy) accepted the offer from Sisecam, which was impressively higher than the 54 million euros offered by Guardian.
At the end of October, the property transfer transaction will be completed and Sisecam Flat Glass Italia, the Italian subsidiary of Sisecam Group, will be the new owner of Sangalli Vetro Porto Nogaro.
With this operation Sisecam will consolidate its presence in Europe, maintaining the second position after Saint Gobain Glass in the European flat glass market.
More details on this operation will be available on our pages in the coming weeks.
