With its 1999 goal of sales expansion outside Europe, Saint-Gobain Technical Fabrics set up a fabric cutting unit in Mexico for grinding wheels, in November 2001.

This factory, that also produces insect screens, is located within the Saint-Gobain Technical Fabrics factory in Xicohtencatl (Tlaxcala province) and represents an investment of approximately 500,000 US dollars.
