As a part of strategy in Asian Region, Saint-Gobain Renforcement recently made an investment in China by forming a Joint Venture company with Xinxing Glass Fiber Plant Division of Hangzhou Glass Group Co.

Ltd., located in Zhe Jiang Province, China, 100 km from Shanghai. It has been manufacturing reinforcements for textile applications and for composites since 1997. The new Joint Venture Company is named as "Hangzhou Saint-Gobain Vetrotex Fibre Glass Co. Ltd". It is a part of the Saint-Gobain Reinforcement Branch, world leader in reinforcements for composites. With this acquisition, the Reinforcement Branch has a total of 5 plants and 8 major sales offices in Asia.
