Safelite AutoGlass recently opened a new shop in Santa Maria to provide area customers with same-day and in-shop vehicle glass repair and replacement services.

Located at 2220 A St., No. 101, the 7,000-square-foot facility holds 2,300 glass parts, which a company spokesman said is the largest inventory assortment on the Central Coast.

The shop will serve communities as far south as Solvang and Lompoc and as far north as Paso Robles and San Simeon.

Dana Szczepanski is the store manager, overseeing six employees — four technicians, one technician trainee and one repair specialist — but expects to hire two more technicians soon.
