Based on the stored original drawings and customer specific data, the quick and easy-to-use practical assistance provides technical illustrations as well as the necessary parts lists.

Market partners’ professional services must ultimately also take account of the clear trend towards increased process speed throughout the entire value chain.

According to Roto, a specific example of this is “Con Orders”, a worldwide online service available “around the clock” in 17 languages. It enables the complete as well as individual window and door hardware configuration with just a few mouse clicks.

As reported by the company, this now also applies for the four new “Patio Alversa” parallel and Tilt&Slide product range versions in timber, PVC and aluminium.

Based on the stored original drawings and customer specific data, the quick and easy-to-use practical assistance provides technical illustrations as well as the necessary parts lists. They can be exported in different data formats and therefore be used for individual offers and sales orders.

The “Zero error risk” is a particular highlight. The dynamic interaction of all parameters means that every hardware composition always leads to the right technical result.

This means that building elements with prohibited dimensions or hardware components that do not match are ruled out from the very beginning. An additional plus for users: the option of uploading individual material lists and prices via the web interface.

For the universal “Patio Alversa” portfolio, the configurator automatically shows the available selection options, such as  the various ventilation functions. Specifically, the “KS” Tilt&Slide system offers tilt ventilation, while the “PS” version stands for a parallel sliding system with or without night ventilation.

The “PS Air” parallel sliding system equips windows and balcony doors with tilt ventilation, similar to “PS Air Com”. The premium solution is convenient to control via the window handle, so that the opening and closing of sashes of up to 200 kg requires only a small expenditure of energy.

Higher Utility

Roto currently puts the number of configurations realised with “Con Orders” worldwide at about 400 per day. A computer with a web browser and internet access is all that is required for running it. After registering on www.ftt.roto-frank.com, users first receive access to so-called demo data.

This is followed by the entry of the individual hardware data, which the customer can work with after login. Updates, such as the integration of new hardware or any product change, are automatically entered and are therefore ensured.

The possibility of allowing multiple employees to access the same data, each with their own account, further increases the utility of the system. Roto specialists’ professional support, as well as a manual which can be downloaded as a PDF, facilitates the practical application.

The configurator can also be used on mobile devices, such as tablets and smartphones, thanks to its Responsive Design. This means that it can be used wherever it is needed, e.g. on construction sites and in consultations.
