Rapid Progress of Autonomous Office Building Works

Onyx Solar participates with its photovoltaic glass solutions in the construction of a sustainable and energy self-sufficient office building located in Gijon (Spain) “The Autonomous Office” is financed by the European Commission through LIFE framework program whose main goal is to build a self-sufficient building.

This new bioclimatic building will be the new headquarters of BFC (Biogas Fuel Cell).

Onyx Solar will contribute to this project through the design and integration of constructive photovoltaic solutions that will generate over 33,500 kWh of energy per year. In addition to the energy inputs, Onyx Solar´s photovoltaic building materials will help to significantly improve passive properties associated with the building envelope.
