Translated 30-page brochures available for download at ppgideascapes.com

PPG (NYSE:PPG) has published French and Spanish versions of its new architectural glass catalog, which can be downloaded at ppgideascapes.com, PPG’s online portal to glass, coatings and paint solutions for architectural surfaces.

The 30-page booklet incorporates vibrant photography of award-winning buildings, detailed product descriptions and comprehensive performance data for PPG’s full line of low-iron, performance-tinted, and passive and solar control low-emissivity (low-e) glasses, including new SOLARBAN® 90 glass.

Glenn T. Miner, PPG director of construction, flat glass, said French and Spanish versions of the catalog were published in response to increased demand from architects, glazing contractors and glass fabricators in Canada and Latin America. “PPG products such as Solarban and SUNGATE® 400 low-e glasses feature proprietary coating technologies that are engineered to maximize performance in specific heating-dominated and cooling-dominated climates,” he said. “The new catalogs help architects and glazing professionals in Canada and Latin America identify the products best-suited to their individual projects.”

In addition to translated product and performance information, the French and Spanish PPG glass catalogs contain educational sections about glass and energy management that explain how coated low-e glasses such as Solarban and Sungate 400 glasses diminish energy use in commercial buildings. Graphics illustrate common glass-performance terms such as solar-heat-gain coefficient (SHGC), visible light transmittance (VLT), light-to-solar-gain (LSG) ratio and U-value.

There also is a section about the PPG CERTIFIED FABRICATOR NETWORK™ group, a collection of PPG-trained and -audited suppliers that provide exclusive access to high-performance PPG glass products and world-class customer service.

The PPG glass catalog can be downloaded and printed in English, French or Spanish by visiting ppgideascapes.com and clicking on the “Product Literature” link under “Tools & Technical Resources.”
