Pilkington starts work on PLN 450m factory in Podkarpackie

Pilkington, one of the world’s largest glass manufacturers, on 13 September inaugurated the construction of a factory of automotive glass in Chmielow (Podkarpackie voivodship), in the Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone (TSSE).

It is the company’s second manufacturing plant in Poland.



The total value of the project is PLN 450m (approx. €104m), of which Pilkington will invest PLN 350m (€81m), with the remaining PLN 100m (€23.1m) to be contributed by Panattoni, a global property developer. The Ministry of Economy supported the project with a grant of PLN 93m (€21.5m).
