Reduced installation effort, increased comfort: sophisticated new products for “Roto Patio Alversa” universal hardware.

According to the manufacturer, the minimal outlay required in production, storage and logistics has made “Roto Patio Alversa” stand out since its launch in autumn 2016. Now the universal hardware for Parallel Sliding and Tilt&Slide systems has gone one better with the addition of four new components.

Roto reports that window manufacturers can look forward to a host of products to simplify their work thanks to self-locking bogies or a convenient installation jig, for example. With the two features of additional lock-in position and tilt assistance element, the range of windows and balcony doors can also be designed to be even more convenient in future.

On the market launch, the manufacturer described the bogies as an industry first. The reason for this is that they are already certified “as anti-jemmy in accordance with EN 13126-17” ex-works thanks to the special shape of their housing. The solution, which is compatible with all four “Patio Alversa” sliding systems, also boasts a built-in anti-jemmy device.

This does away with the need for additional measures in both production and installation. This alone makes processing much quicker, reduces the number of components required and simplifies storage. Since the innovation renders errors when installing the roller unit virtually impossible, it can be assumed that customer satisfaction will be increased.

The new installation jig for the top guide block promises reliability and less time and effort required for production. It is available for the “PS”, “PS Air” and “PS Air Com” versions and can be adapted to the different widths of sash overlaps as required.

This means that fast positioning of the control element is guaranteed during frame installation, whether horizontal or vertical. Greater convenience is also ensured by the fact that the sash does not have to be hinged first for installation.

Small components, major effect on customers

The latest products launched for the “Patio Alversa” hardware range also include a particularly efficient additional lock-in position for the “PS Air” Parallel Sliding system with tilt ventilation. It can be ordered as an accessory.

Especially on elements with a relatively large proportion of glass, the new function prevents windows and balcony doors from accidentally slamming shut, for instance due to suction in extremely windy conditions. Instead, the sash engages in the tilted position and remains securely held in place until it is next moved.

Outstanding operating convenience is also ensured by the fourth innovation – an additional tilt assistance element, which is also suitable for retrofitting, for the “PS Air Com” Parallel Sliding system with tilt ventilation controlled by the handle. The component in the form of a spring-mounted scissor stay reduces the torque generated at the handle during tilting.

This enables even heavy sashes weighing 180 kg to be opened with minimal effort. This has a positive impact on wear and the sought-after durability. Roto reports that it plans to take out a patent for this intelligent addition to the range. The same applies to the anti-jemmy bogies and the additional lock-in Position.
