NTC 2008 certification for Easy Glass® systems

Date: 3 November 2015

We are proud to announce that, after successful testing, the Easy Glass® Slim, Easy Glass Pro®, Easy Glass® Hybrid and Easy Glass® Max glass balustrades have been certified by the Istituto Giordano in accordance with Italian decree NTC 2008.

This certification guarantees that our high-grade railings offer safety and security in a wide variety of architectural settings. In order to earn the certification, Q-railing’s Easy Glass systems, Easy Glass Slim, Easy Glass Pro, Easy Glass Max and Easy Glass Hybrid, had to pass extensive line load and impact tests.Sacha Montalto, Sales Manager at Q-railing Italia: “NTC 2008 accreditation is written proof that Q-railing’s balustrades are absolutely safe. What is more, with this certification, architects, contractors and installers will benefit from significantly simplified construction procedures. Building permits can be acquired in a shorter timescale, and official structural checks are conducted in a much more straightforward way.”

Multitalented Easy Glass

The Easy Glass range has a glass balustrade solution for every imaginable mounting situation. All four systems impress with their slimline profiles, optimal transparency and unobstructed visibility. Their manoeuverability and ease of installation are also major advantages on the construction site.

With Easy Glass Pro, installers have five different base shoes to choose from, including options that allow installation right on the edge of a balcony. Another big plus is that any necessary glass adjustments can be carried out from inside the balustrade. This eliminates the need for scaffolding or special tools. Easy Glass Max is one of the newest additions to the Easy Glass range. Capable of resisting linear forces in excess of 5 kN/m, it is the strongest base shoe ever. Consequently, it is ideal for crowded public spaces such as stadiums and airports.
