New products extend Pilkington Spectrum offering

The properties for these products have been added to the popular Pilkington Spectrum online calculation tool, thus enabling customers and architects to quickly and easily calculate the performance data they need to satisfy project specifications and building regulation requirements. New products unveiled at the inaugural FiT Show at Telford International Centre included the following: Pilkington Anti-condensation Glass – a new coated glass which can delay and, in many cases, prevent the onset of external condensation on thermally-efficient double and triple glazing Pilkington Optitherm™ S1 Pro T – the latest addition to the Pilkington Optitherm™ product range and optimised for U values as low as 1.0 W/m2K in double glazing and 0.5 W/m2K in triple glazing Pilkington Activ SunShade™ Blue – a high performance solar control and self-cleaning glass which can block as much as 80% of the sun's heat Pilkington Spectrum is an on-line calculation tool that allows users to calculate the performance data for any combination from the comprehensive Pilkington range of products.As well as performance data such as light transmittance, g value and U value, the output also encompasses other characteristics required for CE Marking such as pendulum body impact resistance and sound insulation. Since its launch in 2008, registered users have touched 32,000 globally, with almost a third of them based in the UK.
