The new Norwegian company Vetro Solar plans to build the world's largest factory for producing special glass for solar panels in Thalheim, Germany.
Vetro Solar plans to invest an estimated NOK 3 billion in the facilities, NRK reports. The factory will cover 300,000 square metres and create more than 500 new jobs.
The location is Solar Valley, close to other plants in the solar energy field. The new plant will be built next to the Q-Cells factory, the world's largest manufacturer of solar panels.
