Schüco has added four new trend colours to its Schüco AutomotiveFinish surface finish technology.

The new colours – Light Silver, Deep Bronze, Metallic Black and the SAF-DB 703 line, a brilliant lightly textured slate grey – are the company’s response to market demand for a greater selection of grey and brown tones.

The Schüco AutomotiveFinish colour range consists of 10 metallic and RAL EFFECT colours for designing indoor and outdoor areas. A collection consisting of two colours exclusively for interior design completes the range.

Using the Schüco AutomotiveFinish surface finish technology, PVC-U profiles can be coated in popular metallic colours for which the automotive industry is well-known.

With consistent colour stability, a degree of brilliance is achieved which fulfils demanding technical requirements in conjunction with excellent resistance to abrasion, weathering and chemicals.

Alongside the coloured layer, the basis of Schüco AutomotiveFinish is a special covering layer individually formulated for every colour that determines the gloss and surface texture.

Importantly for fabricators, window and door units including accessory parts can be constructed and supplied with a matching colour scheme.

In addition to economic demands, Schüco AutomotiveFinish also fulfils ecological requirements. An environmentally friendly manufacturing process with minimal energy consumption and low volumes of waste allows the profiles to be coated in paint without the need for a finishing process.

Any damage to the environment caused by outgoing air, effluents or special waste is excluded. For this reason, the development of the Schüco AutomotiveFinish technology was supported by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (Deutsche Bundestiftung Umwelt).
