Pilkington has appointed Tony Smith as Market Development Manager for its Building Products business in UK.

With the changes to Part L of the Building Regulations in October a key focus, the new role will see Tony working with customers to help guide them through this legislation and ensuring they have the knowledge, expertise and products to meet its needs. In this new role Tony will report directly to Andy McDowell, National Sales Manager, Pilkington United Kingdom Limited. Tony Smith, Market Development Manager, Pilkington said: “The recent changes to Part L of the Building Regulations pose a number of challenges for the glazing industry.I’ll be working closely with customers to understand and help satisfy their needs as they look to capitalise on the changes mostly through use of Pilkington energiKare™ product range. I am looking forward to this challenge and will be meeting with customers in the coming weeks to discuss these challenges and opportunities.”
 
Tony joined Pilkington more than five years ago and recently worked as Sales Development Manager, for both Pilkington Activ™ and Pilkington energiKare™ product ranges
