Nataline Lomedico Succeeds Anne-Merelie Murrell as New Chief Executive Officer at Giroux Glass, Inc.

Date: 9 January 2015

Giroux Glass, Inc. announced that on January 1, Nataline Lomedico became chief executive officer, succeeding Anne-Merelie Murrell, who continues as chairman of the board.

In her previous roles as treasurer, controller and chief financial officer, Lomedico has been directly responsible for all financial aspects of Giroux since 2000.The woman-owned company is currently ranked Number 11 on Engineering News Record Magazine's list of top 20 US firms in glazing and curtain wall for 2014.

"Nataline has been an integral part of this growth for the past 14 years, and is the perfect choice as our next CEO," said Murrell. "Her strong leadership will build upon our previous successes and take us into our exciting future."

Lomedico has worked in the construction industry in finance and accounting roles for over 24 years, mostly at the executive level. Additionally, all of her management and executive experience has been within the construction industry, varying from specialty subcontractors, home builders, and general contractors.

As an inspirational leader and driving force behind transitioning Giroux to the ownership-cultured company it is today, Lomedico said, "I am honored by the trust that Anne-Merelie and my partners have placed in me, and as CEO I look forward to continued success in the years to come."

Anne-Merelie Murrell has served as chief executive officer since her purchase of the company from its founder, Louis Giroux, in 1991. A real-estate investor with a interest in renovating neglected properties in the downtown L.A. area surrounding the USC campus, Murrell purchased the glass company as part of an investment in six buildings.

As a sale contingency, she promised Louis Giroux that she would operate the glass company based in one of those buildings for one year. Murrell kept her promise and more.

At that time, the company that had started in 1946 made $800K in sales and had ten employees. Under Murrell's direction, the company's original glass installation and repair service department was soon joined by units that specialize in commercial contracts and high-end design, working on high-end retail and residential properties.

Within a few years, Murrell had tripled sales, and in its highest sales year sold over $75MM and grew the company to over 400 employees.

Lomedico is committed to growing Giroux's status as one of the nation's most successful glazing contractors through her commitment to cutting-edge technology, top-quality service, customer satisfaction and nurturing Giroux's strong culture of ownership.

"I welcome the day we become 100 percent employee owned, now scheduled to happen within the next seven years. I look forward to nurturing our growth and financial strength to create a strong future for our next generation of employee owners of Giroux."
