The North American Contractor Certification (NACC) is pleased to announce its latest certified organization. U.S. Glass, Inc. of West Sacramento, California became the 16th company to acquire certification after going through the ANSI accredited 3rd party NACC program.
U.S. Glass, Inc. is a glazing contractor servicing all of Northern California that has extensive experience in: commercial office buildings, education and research, hospitals and medical office buildings, retail and interiors, airports, museums, mixed use as well as DOE and DOD projects, blast systems, OSHPD, DSA, design-build, LEED certification and remedial projects.
For Mark Dutrow, President of U.S. Glass, Inc. the benefits of the NACC process were immediate and necessary. Mark shared that “The NACC certification program is a sorely needed addition to the glazing community in our ongoing efforts to be leaders in the Architectural community.”
Speaking of the rigorous requirements of the program Mark added, “this demanding process made us revisit the best practices that we have worked so hard to embed within our organization. With all the demands of running an organization, sometimes our policies and procedures become stale or outdated and the certification made us not only revisit our existing practices, but back fill with ones where none existed previously. I would encourage other firms to pursue the NACC certification to not only improve their organization internally, but to raise the bar as a whole for the contracting community.”
In addition, the NACC process is making tremendous gains in the California regional marketplace, something that Jeannie Simpelo, CEO of the Northern California Glass Management Association (NCGMA) notes with tremendous pride.
“The NCGMA is proud to see the growing list of contractors becoming certified in Northern California with U.S. Glass, Inc. becoming the 4th company in our region to gain NACC Certification. They are just another shining example of the professionalism that our contractor members strive for in the glazing industry and the importance of this certification as a competitive tool to glazing contractors. This is a much-deserved recognition for Mark Dutrow and his staff in Sacramento.”
The NACC program consists of several requirements intended to give building owners, general contractors, design professionals, and other stakeholder’s confidence that the glass and aluminum installation process will be performed to meet the needs of the project.
The NACC program launched in 2015 and continues to grow at a steady pace.
