At glasstec, October 21st - 24th, Düsseldorf, Germany, ISRA VISION will be presenting selected technologies from the world's most complete portfolio of optical glass inspection solutions.

The systems are used along the entire process chain, from the hot-end to the cold-end, from inline coating to finished processes. The range of applications is unrivaled around the world.

Major glass manufacturers worldwide rely on ISRA’s proven and innovative solutions. They are given the tools they need to not only improve the quality of their product, but also boost the process efficiency in production. The system layouts are specifically adapted to the requirements of glass types such as float glass, automotive glass, special glass and thin glass.

Taking the lead with PowerPlate P² - a product family guaranteeing reliable quality inspection for all process steps in the glass plate production

Float glass remains the flagship of the glass industry. Leading manufacturers trust in ISRA's FLOATSCAN systems to optimize their float glass production and to be able to supply their customers with the best possible quality. The comprehensive automated quality inspection is based on the innovative multi-view technology which can be reliably and flexibly adjusted to any requirement. Thus, ISRA provides a myriad of fresh opportunities for new and existing float lines.

For optimal inspection, highest productivity and short return-on-investment: Unique, multi-mode, multiview, multi-dimensional technique opens up remarkable possibilities for the production of quality float glass: FLOATSCAN product line.

Finishing processes give the raw material glass the special qualities needed for its use in technical fields. A flawlessly-applied coating, for example, is capable of improving the transmission attributes of construction glazing, allowing it to meet energetic requirements. However, the quality control of processed glass has always been a challenging task for optical inspection systems. With P²-Coating, ISRA will be presenting an innovative solution that is able to inspect coating, coloring and surface on a single platform. The system is part of the PowerPlate (P²) family of products - nine individual modules offering a variety of different applications for the glass plate inspection. Thanks to the unique combination of hardware, lighting and defect classification software, even the tiniest coating defects and the slightest color deviations can be detected.

Perfect quality. Maximized throughput: 100% in-line inspection of coated glass for coating, color, glass and processing defects with P²-COATING

In addition, ISRA also introduces a wide range of inspection solutions for applications in the automotive glass production, where quality plays a decisive role as wind shields have a great impact on traffic safety. Optical distortions and scratches can distract the driver and risk his wellbeing. The fully-automated in-line inspection systems SCREENSCAN-FAULTFINDER and SCREENSCAN-FINAL allow for the detection and objective evaluation of these production defects using the patented Online-Moiré technology for optical distortion. They enable repeatable high-resolution measurements with precise accuracy and ensure provable 100% quality. Moreover, the SCREENSCAN-FINAL is the only system that performs a complete end of line inspection of straying, absorbing and distorting defects.

Reliable in-process detection of cathode defect with PowerPlate (P²)- COLOR, not possible with even some separate spectrometer spot measurements

Two other solutions for automotive glass inspection are among popular systems on the market: FORMSCAN can be used for non-contact 3D in-line shape measurement of bent glass within all typical cycle times. The worldwide unique SCREENSCAN-REFLECTED DISTORTION allows for the reliable fully-automated in-line 3D curvature measurement of specular reflecting free-form surfaces according to defined standards.

Objective, quantifiable evaluation of aesthetic properties of automotive glass, now even performable in-line: SCREENSCAN-REFLECTED DISTORTION

P²-INSPECT Automotive and PRINTSCAN round off the innovative portfolio of technology for automotive glass inspection: They provide the possibility to inspect optical quality and screen print patterns directly after the relevant production step for immediate process optimization. Defect-free automotive glass has never been safer – and it has never been more profit-yielding to optimize the production lines behind it. ISRA’s optical inspection systems pave the way for efficient product lines with a consistent high quality output.
