The Glass
Processing Days conference is an independent forum developing the glass industry.
Conference attendees include glass industry decision-makers and experts such as
glass manufacturer and processor representatives as well as façade designers and
architects. The conference is a unique opportunity to catch up with the latest
technology and talk to other professionals.
Founded in 1992, Glass Processing Days is organized biannually in Tampere, and
last summer attracted nearly 900 guests from all over the world. As the growing
Chinese construction industry needs a developing glass industry, Glaston
Technologies arranged in 2004 for the first time a local Chinese daughter
conference. It is now being held annually in conjunction with Asia's largest
glass industry fair, China Glass Expo.
The Glass Processing Days China conference raised wide interest again and
received a record number of visitors. The main topic of the conference's wide
range of presentations was energy efficiency in buildings, which can
significantly be contributed to with the help of glass. The so-called energy
glass as well as its coating and tempering technology has for several years been
the most interesting topic area for the conference and its guests.
